Choreodrama

The creation of a show, like the progression of an internship, is an adventure that can be considered in many ways.

In my case, and given the very nature of my work, it resembles migration; the group assumes the role of the species, but, like the latter, it is simultaneously both form and source of the journey.

The itinerary is determined by the constituents, the moment, the  players. I like to use the term choreodrama for the final destination. Indeed, choreographic dramas are the most appropriate scenic forms for conveying the development of my research.

At its centre is the repertoire of Marcel Marceau, who counters the fantasies of Philippe Genty with the intensity of Jean Paul Goude’s imagery.
